CAT cable
For installation we recommend to use CAT5 or CAT7 wiring. Your UpLink Box will be directly connected to the PoE switch or Router, after that you‘re able to recive calls on your mobile device WITHOUT using an indoor unit.
For each family one UpLink Box is needed.

The C@tapult Wi-Fi module is equipped with a connector for an easy and quick installation. First you remove the screws from the back cover of the inddor unit, then you will see a connector on the main board of the indoor unit, where your C@atapult module will be pluged in. That‘s it! Next you configure the module and download the app, for details please check the user manual.

UpLink Box
The UpLink Box is your gateway to the web for all products of the ZERO series . Installation is simple and fast. Connect the UpLink Box with a network cable to your network, download the InView app and go! Of course the connection can be done over a PoE switch as well, your switch just needs to be connected to your network.
The UpLink Box is compatible with all common router and switch products on the market.

With your InView app you can see who is in front of your door, even without an ongoing call. Open your dorr or switch lights remotely. Wherever you are with InView you can talk to your visitors over your mobile device, worldwide.

Frequently Ask Questions
Can I use the outdoor unit of UN, DOS and DREI series without the central unit and indoor units?
No, all UN, DOS and DREI systems require a connection to the central- and indoor unit. If you don‘t need an indoor unit please check out our ZERO series.
How do I connect to the internet with UN, DOS or DREI products?
Internet connection will be handled over your Wi-Fi network only, the Catapult module will connect itself with your network.
Why do I need a Catapult module, even if I‘m using ethernet cables?
UN, DOS and DREI products have been designed for an optional use of internet connectivity. Not all customers like to use an internet based sytsem. Connection to the web and cloud is optional and therefore the Catapult module is needed as a gateway. Ethernet is being used for data communication between the devices and powering the system.
Can I receive calls with my InView app if I‘m not at home?
Yes, you can communicate worldwide with your visitors.
Why do Bastion products need a cedntral unit?
There are two main reasons:
To avoid manipulation of the door opening mechanism, this can be only avoided if the door opener relay is not bulid into the outdoor station.
Bastion offers more possibilities to control external devices than anyone else, relays that are controlling these additional functions, like switching the light, opening garage doors, etc. require some space. Therefore we follow the central unit approach.
What kind of wiring is required?
We recommend shielded CAT5 or 7 cables, however you can also use existing cables if they are in certain good conditions. If you‘re not sure, just talk to our support and check the user manuals of the device you‘re interested in for more information.
I‘ve only 4 wires available can I install a bastion door phone?
Basically yes, it depends on the condition and type of cable and on the total cable length. Give us a call to discuss your individual situation.
What about power supply?
Our systems are powered with PoE switches. The only condition is that the switch doesn‘t have BSP (broadcast storm protection) implemented. For each system device one powered ethernet port is needed. For example: The 1 family verion- UN needs 3 ports. 1x for the outdoor unit, 1x for the indoor unit and 1x for the central unit.
