All employees of BASTION Systems GmbH have families and children, as do many of our potential or existing customers. We see it as our absolute responsibility to leave our children a planet that offers them an intact natural and animal world and guarantees to drink clean water and breathe pure air in the future too.

 

The protection of our earth starts with each individual on a small scale. For us at Bastion - as a manufacturer of electronic communication devices - the responsibility is broader.

 

 

• Our products are developed and manufactured exclusively in Europe. This means we keep our transport routes short, which in turn leads to lower emissions and protects the environment.

 

• Our products are designed for a long service life, which is why we are strict opponents of planned product failures for environmental and moral reasons towards our customers, who have also decided to purchase our products with a certain basic trust.

• If something breaks after the 2 years warranty period has expired, Bastion systems have been designed that repairs can be carried out quickly and easily. This protects our environment, the wallet of our customers and prevents the waste of raw materials.

 

• Our suppliers adhere to strict European environmental and labor laws and are certified accordingly by the responsible bodies.

 

• We only use cardboard for our packaging and do not use any plastic at all.

 

• Bastion products are developed and produced in Europe and with full conviction. Job loss and the migration of entire branches of industry from Europe to low-wage countries to producers without social or ecological responsibility are among the factors that every European may have to face at some point. That is not why we founded Bastion. Our products maintain and create jobs in Europe. In the future, maybe even for acquaintances, friends, or our children.

 

• Our products consist of several individual components, as far as availability and technical possibilities permit, these are produced and purchased in Europe.

 

We have the following parts for our products manufactured in Europe:

 

• Steel plates for the outstations

• Glass plates for the indoor stations

• Electronic boards for outdoor and indoor stations as well as the central unit

• All packaging material. Incidentally, made from 100% recyclable corrugated cardboard

• Small items

 

The following components have to be bought in the Far East as there are no European manufacturers for them:

 

• Color displays of the indoor stations

• Camera modules for the outdoor stations
